Adyar Library and Research Centre houses Manuscripts of type 'Palm Leaf'. These are original, written on Palm Leaf.
Collection consists of nearly 2500 'books' of such manuscripts. Each 'book' contains one or more leaves (pages). 'book' is also called 'bundles'.
Catalog of such 'books' is in paper registers. Digitization of paper register is work-in-progress.
Digitization of 'books' have started with digital camera. One 'book is selected', and all it's leaves are photographed. One leaf produces more than one image file.
