The three-day Indian Section Study Camp on “ANCIENT HELLENIC WISDOM for DAILY LIFE” will be held on 30th, 31st October and 01st November, 2025, at the Indian Section H.Q.,  Varanasi. It will be conducted by Sis. ERICA GEORGIADES, General Secretary of the Greece Section.

This study camp offers a journey into ancient Hellenic wisdom for daily life. Drawing from the Orphic, Pythagorean, and Platonic traditions, we will explore both philosophical and Theosophical perspectives on the art of living—uncovering how ancient philosophers, like Plato, cultivated serenity of mind, practiced self-knowledge, and lived a life full of meaning and wisdom. Through dialogue, reflection, and contemplation, we will delve into Anamnesis, the practice of recollection in Orphic and Platonic traditions, which leads to the awakening of the soul’s memory of its divine origin. We will also explore Theasis — a state of contemplative vision – an enlightened seeing of truth or the divine, as distinguished from the shadows and illusions that most people mistake for reality. Equally important, we will also explore how Platonists drew wisdom from everyday life and nature, and how we can reawaken this sacred practice in our own time. Daily sessions will include periods of silent contemplation, supported by the melodies of the ancient seven stringed Greek lyre—an instrument once used to uplift the soul and attune it to its divine origin.
