INTRODUCTION

The “Stanzas of Dzyan” are the framework around and attached to which the voluminous matter of H. P. Blavatsky’s magnum opus, The Secret Doctrine, is given out. According to Blavatsky herself, the Stanzas "form the basis of the present work." As we all know the book has two massive volumes -- titled as 'Cosmogenesis' and 'Anthropogenesis' and a third volume of Index and Bibliography. Each of the main two volumes has three parts. First part contains Stanzas from the Book of Dzyan followed by recorder's commentaries on them.

The Foundation of the book,  the Stanzas of Dzyan. What they are, whence they emanate, how Blavatsky came across and how she used them, make a fascinating tale, but that is another inspiring story. They give an abstract formula which can be applied, mutatis mutandis, to all evolution; to that of our tiny earth, to that of the chain of planets of which that earth forms one, to the solar Universe to which that chain belongs, and so on, in an ascending scale, till the mind reels and exhausted in the effort. The seven Stanzas given in first volume represent the seven terms of abstract formula. They refer to, and describe the seven great stages of the evolutionary process, which are spoken of in the Puranas as the "Seven Creations" and in the Bible as the "Days" of Creation. Volume two of the  book (Anthropogenesis) consists of 12 Stanzas.

During the ten days’ programme we will ponder over the contents and philosophy underlying the seven stanzas in volume one of the book. The teachings in the  stanzas are antedate Vedas. 

Day 1: Introduction, Nasadiya Sukta from Rig Veda,  Proem - Pages from a prehistoric record.

'Proem' in itself forms a grand and profound wisdom-teaching on several basic occult concepts like: Evolutionary stages in symbols, Prabrahman and Mulaprakriti, Space as Eternal Mother-Father, Seven Cosmical Elements, Three fundamental propositions, Fohat, etc., etc. 

Day 2: Stanza I with commentaries.

Day 3:  Stanza I with commentaries continue.

Day 4: Stanza II with commentaries.

Day 5: Stanza III with commentaries.

Day 6: Stanza IV with commentaries.

Day 7: Stanza V with commentaries.

Day 8: Stanza VI with commentaries.

Day 9: Stanza VI with commentaries continue.

Day 10: Stanza VII with commentaries and summing up.

FACILITATOR

After U.S. Pandey graduated in engineering from the University of Roorkee (presently IITR), he served in the Indian Railway Service of Engineers and superannuated from the post of Addl. Director General. Post-retirement, he has been voluntarily associated with some social works. He has been a member of the Board of Management of Transparency International India.

He is a Life member of the Theosophical Society and its International Speaker and also National lecturer of the Indian Section. 

He is a member of management committees of the Indian Section. He is President of U.P. and Uttarakhand Federation of the Indian Section Theosophical Society.

He delivers talks, conducts study camps and writes articles on theosophical themes. Delivered talks on Theosophical topics in many countries and also in online international seminars/meetings.

He has authored two books, one in Hindi entitled “Theosophy ke Ayam”, a compilation of 21 articles and also second in English entitled ‘Theosophical Blooms” a compilation of 25 articles written by himself.
