This excellent book recording the history of the Theosophical Society from 1926-1950, has been painstakingly researched and is accurate in fact and shrewd in assessment.

Mrs. Ransom tells us:' I have tried to be accurate, to observe due proportion, to exercise the historian's prerogative of impartiality, and to give a clear impression of how the great ideals of the  Society are working themselves out.'

She has succeeded admirably.
